This handsome little guy is looking for his forever home, could it be with you? By the looks of his unique merle coat, Gideon appears to be a catahoula leopard dog mix, weighing in at about 25 pounds and 7.5 months old. He is a
lovable
pup that would love a family of his own to give puppy kisses to! He is a bit of a lap dog and loves to be affectionate with his people. He is playful and outgoing, and ready for his new home! Gideon is friendly with everyone he meets, including new people and children. He is friendly with some dogs, and he has not been around cats yet, so we are unsure of how he would react with them. He is very playful, like most pups, and loves to play with toys! Gideon will not require a home with a fenced in yard, and if it is not an option he will require lots of walks and opportunities for off-leash play, like in a dog park, which would be the next best thing! A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys and games, perfect for an intelligent dog like Gideon! Right now, Gideon is working on leash training and crate training, he will still need to be
house trained

He will also need to learn his basic commands! He is eager to please, and would love to go to obedience classes! We highly recommend basic obedience classes for all of our
puppies, as it not only helps your puppy blossom into a well-mannered canine citizen, but it will also help form a long lasting bond between your puppy and family. A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed almost anywhere you take him! Adopters should plan to spend a lot of time with their puppy, playing with them and training them in basic skills, and socializing them with new people and dogs!
